The Ford Everest can tow up to 3,500kg 76  when properly equipped with a Genuine Ford Tow Pack. Tow/Haul mode adjusts gear shift timing to help maintain power delivery and engine braking on hilly terrain, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist 111  takes the stress out of reversing once you get there.

Seven seats across three rows are standard on Sport, Tremor, Wildtrak and Platinum. On Active, five seats are standard and seven seats are available as an optional extra at additional cost.

Two diesel engines are available. The 2.0L turbo diesel 82, available on Active and Sport that produces 125kW and 405Nm. The 3.0L V6 82  produces 184 kW and 600 Nm and is standard on Tremor, Wildtrak and Platinum, and optional on Active and Sport. Both pair with a 10-speed automatic. If you tow regularly or want stronger performance on long drives, the V6 is the one to choose.

The Ford Everest provides 800mm wading depth 11  across every model in the range. Always approach water at a slow, steady pace and check depth before you commit.

The Ford Everest is built on a ladder-frame chassis shared with the Ranger, so the off-road credentials are genuine across the whole range. Every Everest has a locking rear differential, 800mm wading depth 11  and steel underbody protection as standard. The Tremor goes a few steps further with Bilstein dampers, General Grabber A/T tyres, 255mm of ground clearance and Rock Crawl mode for terrain that demands more 12.

Most models offer six selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts and Sand. The Tremor adds a seventh, Rock Crawl, which manages torque wheel by wheel at low speed for maximum traction on rocky terrain 12.

 Five Everest models are available: Active, Sport, Tremor, Wildtrak and Platinum. Active is the entry point with genuine 4x4 capability. Sport adds comfort for long trips, heated and ventilated seats, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control 92  and a 360-degree camera 81   79. Tremor is the dedicated off-road model with Bilstein dampers, A/T tyres and Rock Crawl. Wildtrak is a special edition with Matrix LED headlights, panoramic roof and power-fold third row seats. Platinum is the range-topper with B&O sound, a 12.4-inch instrument cluster and heated outboard rear seats.
