I’ve been lucky enough to taste the champagne at Bathurst, and I’ve had some incredible years in this sport, but the Championship? That was the mountain that always felt just a little too steep to climb. It’s a grind. And with the new play offs series, it also requires some luck.

And that brings me to the badge on the front of the car. Winning this for Ford means everything to me. I know how passionate the Blue Oval fans are. You guys have stuck by us through the tough rounds and the rebuilding years. To bring the Driver’s Championship back to Ford, driving a Mustang, is a massive point of pride for me. I’ve always felt that support from the Ford faithful, and today, I feel like I can finally pay you back for all the cheering, wearing the merch, for the belief.
