How do I change my Ford SYNC®* Connectivity Settings?
Select your vehicle's SYNC system for the proper steps.
Important: Adjusting your Customer Connectivity Settings can alter the functionality of your remote features i.e., Remote Start/Stop**, Lock, Unlock and Vehicle Location***. Before you make adjustments, ensure the following pre-conditions are met:
- Your vehicle is completely stopped and in park.
- Your location services are enabled.
- Your vehicle is currently activated via the FordPass®**** App.
SYNC 3
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap Settings on your vehicle screen.
- Select FordPass Connect.
- Tap Connectivity Settings.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggles to the left (Off).
SYNC 4
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap Settings on your vehicle screen.
- Select Connectivity.
- Tap Connected Vehicle Features.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggles to the left (Off).
SYNC 4A
- Turn on your vehicle.
- Tap the Vehicle icon on your vehicle screen.
- Tap Settings.
- Scroll down using the left panel and select Connectivity.
- To enable a feature, slide the toggle to the right (On).
- To disable a feature, slide the toggles to the left (Off).

How do I know if my vehicle is connected?
*Don’t drive while distracted. Use voice-operated systems when possible; don’t use handheld devices while driving. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
**Remote Start & Stop only available on automatic vehicles. Use responsibly and only in well ventilated areas where you are aware of your vehicle’s surroundings.
