How do I remove modem access for authorised users?

You can complete a modem reset on your vehicle's SYNC® screen. For more information, refer to the steps below.

Important:

  • This reset removes all authorized users linked to your vehicle.
  • To remove all previous owners, users, data, and in-vehicle settings, perform a Factory Reset. A Factory Reset also deletes your navigation favorites radio presets.

Resetting the Vehicle Modem

To complete a modem reset:

  1. Safely enter your vehicle.
  2. Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, parked, and in a well-ventilated safe area.
  3. Tap Settings on your SYNC screen.
  4. Scroll down and select Reset.
  5. Scroll down and select FordPass Connect Reset.
  6. Close and reopen FordPass once the reset is complete. 

You can now connect to your vehicle again for remote control access.
