Reservation FAQs

 

  • A reservation is a convenient way for you to reserve the opportunity to purchase the vehicle you’ve built using the build and price tool by indicating your interest online with a selected Ford Dealer.

  • No. By placing a reservation online, you are conveniently reserving the opportunity to progress to the next steps in the buying process. Placing a reservation allows you to express to your preferred Ford Dealer your interest in purchasing your selected vehicle.

  • A reservation allows you to configure a selected vehicle online whenever suits you. You can select your build specifications and add any available options whilst receiving an estimated drive away price based on your location. A Ford Dealer will be notified of your online reservation and will receive your reservation fee.

  • Simply enter your postcode and select the vehicle’s intended use. Build your vehicle including any available options and receive an estimated drive away price. Pay a reservation fee and send your interest in this vehicle to a Ford Dealer. They will receive this reservation and contact you to discuss the next steps in purchasing the vehicle.

  • The maximum number of reservations that can be placed varies by nameplate as defined by Ford’s Reservation Terms & Conditions, and only 1 reservation can be placed per transaction.

  • The reservation fee payable online varies by nameplate, and is paid directly to your preferred Ford Dealer via PayPal. The current reservation fee for each nameplate can currently be seen on the build summary and the final reservation payment page prior to completing an online reservation.

  • Yes, your reservation is fully refundable prior to it moving to a confirmed order, and will be refunded back to the original payment method used within 14 days (different financial institutions may vary).

  • Based on the postcode you enter and the type of vehicle you are wanting to reserve, your reservation will be placed with the nearest participating Ford Dealer. You can change the pre-selected Dealer to another participating Ford Dealer on the reservation payment page, prior to finalising your reservation.

    Currently, only select Ford Dealers are authorised to sell Electric Vehicles. If a particular Ford Dealer is unable to be selected, they may not be participating in Ford’s Online Reservation program, or may not be authorised to sell the type of vehicle you are wanting to reserve. Remember, you can always call or visit any Ford Dealer to seek more information.

  • Once your reservation has been successfully placed you will no longer be able to update it through your Ford Account. Any desired changes to your vehicle specification will need to be discussed and confirmed with your selected Ford Dealer.

  • Reservations can be cancelled online via your Ford Account prior to a reservation becoming a confirmed order with your Ford Dealer.

  • Yes. You will receive communication from Ford via email and SMS advising of your reservation transaction, any cancelled reservations, and when your reservation becomes a confirmed order with your Ford Dealer.

  • A Ford Account is a secure way to register your details with Ford and pay a reservation fee through a Ford approved payment gateway (PayPal). A Ford Account will connect your reservation to your Ford Dealer and allow you to view existing reservations. If you already have a FordPass account, you’ll be able to log into your Ford Account with the same details.
