  • Standard Roadside Assistance for Ford 2nd Car 

    Standard Roadside Assistance for Ford 2nd Car

    This Ford 2nd Car is covered by Ford Standard Roadside Assistance.

    You can access this Roadside Assistance program anywhere in Australia, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year on phone 1800 13 FORD.

    Please let the operator know that you are driving a car that is part of the Ford 2nd Car program. They will ask for the following information:
      -Name
      -Registration number of the vehicle
      -Precise location of the vehicle
      -A brief description of the problem
      -A contact telephone number (where possible)

    Standard Roadside Assistance can assist you if your vehicle experiences the following:

    Flat battery
    The Service Provider will jump-start a flat battery or arrange a battery replacement.

    Out of fuel
    The Service Provider will assist you with the provision of petrol, where available, to enable you to travel to the nearest re-fuelling facility or, alternatively, arrange a tow.

    Lockout
    The Service Provider will assist where possible in opening your vehicle, or arranging a tow, provided adequate proof of Journey ownership can be shown. Where locksmith services are required, you will be responsible for this cost in full.

    Mechanical Breakdown
    Where applicable, a Service Patrol Vehicle will be dispatched to assist the mobilisation of your vehicle at the roadside.

    Towing
    In the event that a vehicle cannot be mobilised at the roadside, that vehicle will be towed to the nearest Ford Dealer (and this may be different to the dealer from where you picked up the Mustang).

    Taxi
    A Taxi service to destination of your choice up to the value of $35 nationwide is available..
    Whether you’re ten minutes from home or hours away, you only need to experience a flat tyre to know the value of roadside assistance provided by our partners at Assist Australia.

    • You may be liable to the Service Provider for additional fees and charges not covered by Ford Standard Roadside Assistance. 
    • In cases of mechanical breakdown, Roadside Assistance requires that there be no fault on the part of the owner/driver for the vehicle failure.
    • In the interest of providing a quality service, Roadside Assistance reserves the right to amend or withdraw service where utilisation is excessive due to the lack of regular maintenance or failure to rectify any recurring fault. Roadside Assistance also reserves the right to amend or withdraw service when the safety of the Assist Service
    • provider may be placed at risk.
    • Service delays may be experienced in remote and sparsely populated locations and in the event of natural disaster (eg. floods).
    • Roadside Assistance will accept no responsibility for the security and/or loss associated with the disabled vehicle’s cargo.
    • All prices include GST
    • Terms, conditions and service content are subject to change without notice.
    • Ford Roadside Assistance is provided by Assist Australia Pty Ltd ACN 072 530 217.

    What to do in an accident

    In the event of an accident or incident involving the Car or if the vehicle is lost/stolen, you must follow these steps (as applicable):

    1. Stop
    2. Render assistance (where possible) and notify police immediately and/or emergency services (000) as required.
    3. Obtain detailed Accident Information from the other person(s). These include:
      • Personal Information - Their Name, Address, Phone number, Driver’s Licence Number (photo where possible)
      • Third Party Vehicle Information – Make, Model, Registration number of their vehicle, details of who owns it (Name, Address, Contact number if different Driver) and insurance company if known
      • Damage Information – Document all damage, and where possible take as many photos of damage to both the Mustang and the third party’s vehicle and/or property.
      • Witness(s) Personal Information (where applicable) – Name, Address, Phone Number.
      • Accident Details – Date, time and location of incident. Note weather and road conditions.
    4. Do not make or give any offer, promise of payment, settlement, waiver, release, indemnity or admission of liability;
    5. Provide:
      • Your Name, Address, Phone Number Driver’s Licence
      • Registration number of the vehicle and details of who owns it (All Ford 2nd Cars are owned by Ford Motor Company of Australia Ltd.).
    6. Notify Ford as soon as possible after such accident or incident, theft or damage (via 13 FORD (13 3673) or 2ndcar@ford.com) and complete and return the Accident Report Form within 48 hours (located in the glove box of this Car or available by calling 13 FORD (13 3673) or emailing 2ndcar@ford.com
    7. In the event, the vehicle cannot be driven safely, call Modern Towing on 13 69 13 (24 hours a day). The vehicle will be towed to the nearest Ford Dealer (and this may be different to the dealer from where you picked up the Mustang).

    Please note, the more complete, accurate and timely the information you provide, the quicker the likelihood of any claim resolution.
    Some further information about your obligations in relation to accident claims/proceedings are as set out in the Ford 2nd Car T+Cs.
