The Right Insurance
It’s your insurer’s job to keep costs down. So when aftermarket, salvage or remanufactured parts are available, they may tell the body shop to use these cheaper parts instead of new Ford parts. But aftermarket or damaged parts can cause issues with fit, finish, quality and durability.
Make sure your insurance policy guarantees the use of New Genuine Ford parts and allows you to choose your preferred repairer.
If your current insurer doesn’t offer Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts coverage, shop around and you may be
able to find another insurer that does.
Be sure to compare Ford branded insurance for their guarantee of new genuine parts.
