The Right Insurance

Insurers may tell a body shop to use aftermarket, salvage or remanufactured parts instead of new genuine Ford parts to keep their costs down. This can cause issues with fit, finish, quality and durability. It may also devalue your car and increase repair costs if the non-genuine parts do not perform adequately in an accident. It is important to read your insurance PDS to understand if your policy guarantees the use of Genuine Ford parts and allows you to choose your preferred repairer.
Ford Insure offers Genuine parts and Choice of Repairer. For more details and benefits click here.

Not All Parts Are Created Equal

When you use Ford Genuine Collision Parts, you can be sure they fit your vehicle perfectly and provide long-lasting reliability.

  • Every new part goes through rigorous testing to meet high quality, safety, and performance standards before being used in a Ford Motor Company vehicle. These parts are tested to work with the vehicle as a system.

  • High-strength, military-grade aluminium manufactured by Ford should not be repaired by just anyone. Ensure you choose an aluminium-capable collision shop if your vehicle has aluminium parts/panels. The Ford Certified Collision Network is trained to repair aluminium and can support F-150. Call 13 FORD to be referred to your nearest Ford Certified body shop.
  • After a repair, look at where the panels meet.  Large or inconsistent gaps may indicate poor repair work or that a non-genuine part is fitted.
