You’ve got burning questions. We’ve been sworn to secrecy. How is this even going to work?

Being a global truck, Ranger proudly shares design-DNA with our Built Ford Tough truck portfolio. As you’ve seen in the reveal video, the Next-Generation Ranger has evolved substantially, and showcases a tougher, wider look, with modern integration of the C clamp headlamps, stamped nomenclature across the tailgate and the powerful presence of Built Ford Tough throughout the design. We started from the very centre: Our customers. Ford Ranger is our global truck, and it was only natural that we start by talking to the people who use it every day, across the globe. To do that we needed to sit, talk to and understand customers around the world in order to figure out what needs they had and what they expected the new Ranger to be like. The Next-Generation Ranger is loaded with features inspired by customer feedback. For more information, check out this design story article.
Next-Gen Ranger’s design is striking and stands out on its own while still being unmistakably built with Ford truck DNA. If we had to pull out one thing that sets Ranger apart at first sight, it would be the upper grille and lamps. The execution of this area is really tough and interlocked, designed in a very modern and striking way. We're really excited about this, and we can't wait to show the final product to the world. Q: What are the most notable new exterior features that separate this Ranger from the previous models?
It’s an all-new design. We dialled up our key Ranger cues and made them more contemporary. It became bolder and tougher at the front, but with muscular tension and athleticism on the side. We’ve increased the track to create a more stable and agile appearance, and the wheelbase has been increased to create less overhang at the front and give it an ‘off-road ready’ stance. Importantly though, at every stage of the design process we kept our customers’ needs at the centre of the design. For more detail on design features, check out our design page.

Both the track width and wheelbase are increased by 50mm respectively. Visually, the designers have created a greater sense of width in the cabin, helped by the coast-to-coast instrument panel treatment that melds seamlessly with the doors. For more information, check out the design page.
