What is the ecological route option in SYNC?

The ecological route, or eco-route, uses roads with consistent speeds and fewer stops to minimise fuel consumption. The eco-time penalty feature has low, medium, or high settings for the calculated eco-route. The higher the setting, the longer the time allotment is for the route.

• Low - The system selects an eco-route that would not drastically affect your arrival time from the other route options (shortest/fastest).
• Med - The system selects eco-routes that may have a moderate impact on your arrival time by selecting more ecological routes.
• High - The system selects eco-routes that may have a large impact on your arrival time by selecting the most ecological route.

If you have a high eco-route time penalty and select the eco-route, the system will choose the most ecological route and disregard the amount of time it will take to arrive at your destination.
