Does Ford Insure only use genuine parts?

New genuine parts mean authentic new parts obtained through the authorised Ford Australia supply chain, so you can be assured that the parts fitted were designed and tested to Ford’s rigorous standards and will therefore perform as intended under collision conditions. Ford Insure uses new genuine parts for the life of your policy, regardless of the age of your vehicle, provided parts are still available for that model year.

If we accept a claim but are unable to fix a damaged part that is available in Australia at the time of repair, we will use a new genuine manufacturer part. If a new genuine part is not available, we will use genuine reconditioned or recycled manufacturer parts or Australian Design Rules (ADR) certified new, recycled, or reconditioned parts.

Some insurance companies may use repairers who could use non-genuine parts to repair your vehicle. If your claim is accepted, the insurer will use genuine parts when available. If not available, the insurer may use genuine reconditioned or recycled parts or ADR-certified new, recycled, or reconditioned parts.
