Where can I find towing capacity information?

The towing capacity of your Ford is the maximum weight that the vehicle is legally allowed to tow. It will vary depending on the model of vehicle you are driving and the towing equipment that has been fitted. If your vehicle has been fitted with a genuine Ford tow-bar, there will be a placard on the vehicle showing the capacity.

Use our Payload & Towing Calculator for an understanding of your vehicle’s carrying and towing limits.

For towing heavy loads on new vehicles, you will need to consider the vehicle break-in period. Generally, 1500 km is the guide for the distance travelled before towing heavy loads. Refer to your Owner's Manual to find the break-in period information specific to your vehicle.

Refer to our Towing & Carrying website page for more towing information. This is your go-to guide for a smoother, safer towing and carrying experience.
