Is matrix headlight functionality disabled when fitting auxiliary lights on the Ranger?
The Matrix High Beam system has been designed to support aftermarket light bars and spotlights. The auxiliary lights, as per national standards for vehicle safety requirements, will function through the use of the high beam and will only turn on when the vehicle's high beam pattern is in a fully active state.
In situations where the lighting system detects an approaching vehicle’s headlamps or tail lights, or street lighting ahead, it will adjust the high beam to reduce glare, which in turn can turn off the auxiliary lights as the high beams are now not in their fully active state.
