How do I manage climate controls when using remote start?

Climate settings for your vehicle are not controlled within the FordPass®* App. However, FordPass will use the Climate settings that are listed within your Remote Start in-vehicle cluster.

There are two ways to make adjustments. Select your preferred method for correct steps:

To Adjust Your Climate Controls Using Your SYNC®**3 Screen

  1. Start your vehicle.
  2. Tap Settings on your screen. 
  3. Select Vehicle Settings.
  4. Tap Remote Start Setup.
  5. Press Climate Control.
  6. Select one of the following menu options:
    • Auto - Climate control system automatically sets the interior temperature to 22 degrees Celsius. 
    • Last Settings - The climate control system automatically uses the settings last selected before your vehicle was turned off.

To Adjust Your Climate Controls Using Your SYNC 4 Screen

  1. Start your vehicle.
  2. Tap Settings on your screen. 
  3. Select Vehicle.
  4. Tap Remote Start Setup.
  5. Press Climate Control.

To Adjust Your Climate Controls Using Your SYNC 4A Screen

  1. Start your vehicle.
  2. Tap the Vehicle icon on your screen. 
  3. Scroll down on the left panel and select Vehicle.
  4. Tap the Settings tab.
  5. Select Remote Start Setup.
  6. Press Climate Control.

To Adjust Your Climate Controls Using Your Vehicle Instrument Panel Cluster (SYNC 3 Vehicles Only)

  1. Start your vehicle.
  2. Use the directional pad on your steering wheel to select Settings.
  3. Navigate to Advanced Settings.
  4. Press OK.
  5. Navigate to Vehicle.
  6. Press OK.
  7. Navigate to Remote Start.
  8. Press OK.
  9. Navigate to Climate Control.
  10. Press OK.
  11. Select one of the menu options:
    • Auto 
    • Last Settings
