How do I delete my Ford account?

You can delete your Ford account using the Ford app or the Ford Support website. You can also contact our Customer Relationship Center to request an account deletion. 

Important: 

  • When the steps for account deletion are completed: 
    • Your account is immediately deleted. Ford account deletions cannot be reversed.
    • This will also delete your Ford app account. 
    • You will lose access to your Ford app's remote commands until you create a new Ford account with an eligible vehicle.
  • If you have any current reservations for new vehicles, you cannot delete your Ford account until the reservation is canceled or transferred. See your Ford Dealer for assistance with this if needed. 

Deleting Your Ford Account

Select the appropriate dropdown below based on whether you want to delete your account using the Ford app or the Ford Support website. 

Deleting the Ford Account Using the Ford App

Important:

  • Any changes to your mobile device biometric profile, such as Face ID, thumbprint, or Personal Identification Number (PIN), will require you to re-establish the security for their Ford app.
  • If you experience any issues with deleting your account, contact our Customer Relationship Center.

Perform the steps below.

  1. Log in to the Ford app.
  2. Select the Account icon. 
  3. Select Account Information.
  4. Scroll down and select Delete Account.
  5. Select Yes, delete. You will be taken back to the login screen. 

    Important:
    • If you have additional security on your device, such as Face ID, thumbprint, or PIN, you will need to enter that information before your account is deleted.
    • If you do not have any additional security for your device, you will need to manually enter your Ford app's username and password to delete the account.

Deleting a Ford Account Using the Ford Website

Important: If you experience any issues with deleting your account, contact our Customer Relationship Center.

  1. Log in to your Ford account.
  2. Select the Account icon.
  3. Select <Insert Your Name's> Account.
  4. Scroll down to the Manage Your Account section.
  5. Select Edit now in the Account Settings tile.
  6. Scroll to the bottom of the Account Settings screen and select Delete My Account.
  7. Select Delete Account.
