2022 Everest

Understanding the digital instrument cluster and customising it to suit you

Everest is the smartest to date, and the all-new digital instrument cluster has been designed to deliver lots of vital information to the driver in a clear and effective manner.

There are two screen sizes available – in 8-inch and 12.4-inch versions – and both can be personalised to give drivers the level of information they need while at work, with the family, or preparing for an adventure.

Personalising your instrument cluster is easy. Here’s how to do it.

Configuring the digital instrument cluster

Configuring the digital instrument cluster

To get started, press the Menu button on the steering wheel.

Main menu items include:

  • MyView – Here’s where you can set up your personal group of Information- On- Demand screens. This means you don’t need to dig into the Main Menu items to find the information you need because you can select up to seven screens with the details you use most often. In the 12.4 inches cluster, you can switch between your chosen set of Information- On- Demand screens – or a Calm screen which switches to a simplified display with just a speed reading, fuel range and other basic information. You can add up to seven views – and must have a minimum of two selected.
  • Trip/Fuel – There are two trip screens that display trip distance, trip time, average trip speed and average fuel use. You’ll also find displays for fuel economy, Auto StartStop and Driver Assistance settings.
  • Off-Road (4x4 models only) – You can view your off-road status, pitch and roll angles, power distribution, MyGauges (two customisable options for the four gauges in the main display - see Settings, below) and driver assistance features here.
  • Towing1 – Features displayed will vary depending on fitment of genuine factory fit Ford Tow Bar and Trailer Brake Controller1.  You’ll find trailer information (distance, trailer gain and fuel economy),  trailer light check and driver assistance features here.
  • Phone – Shows you which phone is connected, and call information when required.
  • Audio – Shows you what’s playing on SYNC®4A – whether it’s your favourite station, playlist, audiobook or song.
  • Navigation2 – Gives you vital navigation information so that you don’t need to glance at the centre display while driving.
  • Settings – You can also customise your digital instrument cluster content here by selecting the two central gauges you’d like to see in the main display.
  • On the Everest Platinum model you can also choose to have a secondary speedometer (a digital reading that sits inside the speedometer dial).
  • Vehicle Maintenance – Gives you readings for Oil Life, AdBlue Level and Tyre Pressure.

1. Tow Bar, Trailer Brake Controller and Blind Spot Monitoring Trailer Coverage are available on all series as part of optional pack. Trailer Coverage system supports conventional trailer dimensions: up to 2.4m wide (measured at trailer front) and up to 10m long from the rear of your vehicle. Drivers will need to create a profile of their trailers in SYNC to support this system. Only works with a genuine factory fit Ford Tow Bar.

2. Connected Built-In Satellite Navigation is a Connected Service where eligible vehicles receive 1 year of service from the Ford Express New Vehicle Warranty start date, after which time the service may cease to be available, or may be subject to a subscription fee. Users must have created a FordPass App account (terms apply), have fully activated the vehicle’s FordPass Connect modem and have SYNC Location set to ‘on’ to use this feature.
