How to Remote Start²

Being able to start the engine remotely is useful on hot days to cool the cabin, and cold mornings to warm it up. For this function to work, the automatic transmission must be in Park and the bonnet must be closed. When the engine starts, climate control will automatically resume at 22°C (Auto mode). If you want to have the last set temperature, then you will need to change some settings in your SYNC® screen³ ahead of time. Either way, your vehicle will remain secure, locking the doors and only being able to be driven away if the key is detected inside of your vehicle.

Open the FordPass App
Slide the Power icon to the right and release it to turn on the engine
The app will notify you when Remote Start is successful. The engine will turn on and run between 5 and 15 minutes, depending on the duration specified in your SYNC® screen
To turn the engine off, slide the Power icon to the left and release it. The app will notify you when Remote Stop is successful
