Digital instrument cluster

Everest has done away with a physical instrument cluster for things like the speedometer, replacing them with an 8-inch digital instrument panel that can be customised.

Everest Platinum owners can customise their 12.4 inch display by adding a digital recreation of a traditional analogue speedometer dial, with options to include a digital tachometer and oil temperature gauge as well.

Everest also allows owners to select up to seven ‘information on demand’ screens via MyView, showing readings for the trip computer, fuel economy, infotainment system, offroad status (4WD models only), power distribution and navigation. Each screen also has options for configuration – allowing the owner to truly customise their display to their liking.

A simple press of the back button on the steering wheel removes that extra information and gives the driver a ‘calm view’, with just the speedometer.

Because Everest 4WD models feature on- and off-road driving modes, the instrument panel displays a different theme for each selected drive mode, with animated mode changes when the driver scrolls from one to the other.

To customise the digital instrument cluster, press the MyView button on the steering wheel:

Select Configure MyView
Then scroll down the list to add or remove an item from your MyView list
Press the OK button when you’re finished

To configure the gauges on the digital instrument cluster:

Select Settings
Select Screen Content
Then select Left Gauge or Right Gauge to switch one or the other on or off

The digital instrument cluster offers a wealth of information to the driver, including Trip/Fuel, Audio, Off-Road (4WD models only), Towing², Phone, Navigation³, and Vehicle Maintenance. Each of these menu items offers a raft of sub menu items to put all the information you could need about your Everest right there in front of you. For example, the Maintenance menu item shows information on Oil Life, AdBlue Level and Tyre Pressure.
