An update for Victorian residents

In light of the recent developments in Victoria, Ford Australia is taking actions to help keep our customers and team safe, in line with the latest Stage 4 restrictions as a result of COVID-19.

Although new car sales showrooms across our dealers in Metropolitan Melbourne are currently closed, dealers are fully available by phone or via their website for contactless sales enquiries.

Emergency and critical vehicle maintenance and repairs (including product recalls) and scheduled servicing and maintenance when carried out at or after the published time/distance interval and in accordance with vehicle servicing requirements are permitted services and can be arranged by contacting your Dealer or call 13 FORD (13 3673).

The circumstances in Melbourne are changing regularly, and we have dedicated teams closely monitoring the situation. The health and safety of our employees, dealers, customers, and partners remain our highest priorities, and we are providing necessary support to our dealers and our customers during this uncertain time.

Our dealers remain fully open across the rest of Victoria and Australia, and are taking additional steps to ensure their dealerships, at every interface from sales to service, are clean and hygienic places for both our customers and our teams.

Ford 2nd Car for Healthcare Workers

Ford and participating Dealers have been providing eligible front-line healthcare workers with access to Ford's fleet of 2nd Car vehicles to provide them with safe, reliable private transport at this challenging time. It has been our way of saying 'thank you' for the selfless and important work that our healthcare workers do every day.

Ford are proud to announce that we are now fully subscribed allowing over 240 healthcare professionals using Ford 2nd Car to get through this difficult time. To learn more around the normal Ford 2nd Car program, click here

All Ford dealership staff have been advised to strictly adhere to the following:

  • Refrain from shaking hands and practice active social distancing during interaction with customers.
  • Wear necessary protective gear to help ensure proper hygiene during any customer interaction.
  • Provide hand sanitiser dispensers across the business, particularly in high traffic areas.
  • Increase frequency of cleaning high-touch surfaces in public areas with additional staffing.
  • If an employee is experiencing any flu-like symptoms, they will be asked to promptly seek medical advice and remain at home until they are free of symptoms.
