How do I Make Sure My Vehicle Is Covered by Warranty?

There are a number of things that the customer needs to do to ensure that they gain maximum benefit from the Ford warranties. These things are communicated to the customer in the warranty guide supplied with each vehicle. Some of the things that a customer must do are as follows:

  1. Use, maintain and care for the vehicle as outlined in the owner’s manual.

  2. Ensure that only the fuel specified for the vehicle is used.

  3. Retain maintenance service and inspection records to verify the vehicle’s maintenance history, if this is required.

  4. Ensure that any defect or fault that arises in any of the components covered by warranty is immediately rectified.

  5. Take the vehicle to an authorised Ford Dealer’s place of business, during regular business hours at the customer's expense in order to obtain warranty and policy service.
