Why is my imported vehicle not working with FordPass®*?

FordPass is specifically designed to work with vehicles supplied through its respective markets. As the vehicle's TCU Modem has an embedded SIM that will only function properly in the respective market, it is not user accessible or replaceable. FordPass will only work properly with vehicles imported through official channels in the AU / NZ market.

Although your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) can be added, some features may function in a limited manner as they rely on the global backend systems. 

Some features not supported in Grey Imports include:

  • No image library
  • No Service history
  • No Owner User Manual
  • No local support video links
  • Lack of modem and remote capable functionalities
  • No warranty information is presented in FordPass

How do I add a vehicle to FordPass?

*Use of FordPass is subject to the FordPass Terms and Privacy Policy available in link above and requires a compatible mobile device, internet access and software (including software updates from time to time).
