What is the Intelligent Oil-Life Monitor (IOLM)?

The IOLM system analyzes vehicle data to determine a recommended time to change engine oil.

Traditionally vehicles follow a pre-set schedule for an oil change but due to differences in operating conditions, driving habits, and actual mileage, the oil change interval may vary. This often leads to wrongly timed vehicle maintenance which results in degraded vehicle performance and additional costs for owners.

The Oil Life button in the FordPass^® App displays a percentage estimate of oil life remaining as well as options to contact your Dealer and or request a service.

Note: This is not a standard feature for all vehicles and the following pre-conditions must be met:

You must have a vehicle added to FordPass.
Your vehicle must support the Intelligent Oil Life Monitor (IOLM) feature within the instrument cluster.
