How do I use the Zone Lighting* feature?

Zone lighting use can be done using the FordPass® App or your vehicle's screen. Select one of the options below for more details.

Zone Lighting Pre-conditions Include:

  • Zone Light availability – The lights for the specific Zone Lights are not in use or being used by other features.
  • Vehicle disposition - Your vehicle needs to be in park mode.
  • Good battery level - Your vehicle battery must not be drained or be at a low level (above 75%).
  • Stable connectivity - FordPass and your vehicle needs to be connected, if connectivity is affected, the feature turns off.

To use the Zone Lighting Feature in theFordPassApp:

  1. Log in to the FordPass App.
  2. Navigate to the Vehicle screen.
  3. Tap the Features & Settings header. 
  4. Select the Zone Lighting tile. 
  5. Tap the Power button to enable the feature. If the Power button is greyed out, it is not enabled. 
  6. Select the zone you want to enable. 
    • Blue - means the lights are on.
    • Dark Gray - means the feature is enabled, and the lights are off. 
    • Transparent Gray - means the feature is disabled.
      Note: Tap All Zones to enable all zone areas. 
  7. Select the Power button to turn off the lights and feature once you are done. 

Note: There can be a two or four Zone option. This is determined by the trim level of the vehicle and can only be known when you access the Zone Lighting screen.

  • Two Zone option - contains Front and Rear zones
  • Four Zone option - contains Front, Rear, Left and Right zones

To use the Zone Lighting Feature in Your Vehicle:

  1. Ensure that your vehicle is on, running, and in park.
  2. Tap the Vehicle icon on your SYNC® screen.
  3. Scroll down and select Zone Lighting.
  4. Slide the Power toggle to the right to turn on the feature.
  5. Select the zone or zones you want to enable. 
    Note: Tap All Zones to enable all zone areas. 
  6. Slide the Power toggle to the left to turn off the lights and feature once you are done.
