What do I do if Android Auto will not connect to SYNC 4?
You may currently be experiencing a wired or wireless connection issue if you are using the Android Auto app with your SYNC 4 system. This is due to a recent update to version 6.4.411714.
If you are experiencing this issue:
Wireless connection issues
- Delete your paired phone using SYNC.
- Tap Settings.
- Press Phone List.
- Select Phone.
- Tap Delete.
- Perform a SYNC Module Reset
- Power your phone completely off for one to two minutes.
- Power your phone back on.
- Connect your phone to the USB port in your vehicle. This will pair your phone with SYNC.
- Enable Android Auto.
- Go to Settings in the vehicle.
- Press Android Auto Preferences.
- Select Enable Android Auto.
If this does not resolve the issue, continue to tether your phone with a USB port for Android Auto capabilities.
USB connection issues
If your Android phone reboots when connected to SYNC via a USB cable, update Chrome™ to 88.0.4324.181 or later.
